I'm gonna break routine here and post a totally tutorial-less, info-less, and somewhat direction-less entry right now. But I'm okay with that. Because sometimes it is okay to stop and reflect on the simple, quiet, beautiful things in your life.
Like trick or treating with your cute lil' family.
Or watching the seasons change right outside your window.
Going blueberry picking with family.
Watching your niece take her homemade laser course very seriously.
And making cookies on a Sunday night.
Creating a platter of delicious (birthday) chocolate dipped, cheesecake stuffed, graham cracker crust coated strawberries with your sister in laws.
Seeing your Dad wrapped around your little girl's fingers.
The Jazz Kitchen and powdered sugar covered beignets. Yum!
Going to Disneyland with lots of family.
Photos with lots of personality.
Exploring tide pools with Grandpa and Daddy.
Flying kites. Being on the beach at sunset.
Watching your princess smash her first birthday cake.
The things I have in my life are simple. I am not the most glamorous person alive. I don't wear the cutest clothes. I sometimes go months without owning make up. My house is a modge podge of styles. I'm aware of this.
But I'm also aware that I do have a family that really loves me. And I couldn't begin to describe how much I love them back. Joy, in my mind, is spelled F-A-M-I-L-Y.
And I'm thankful to say I have a lot of both.
